Billy Cummings

“A true Innovator” said by the renown Tito Puentes!   Drummer, percussionist Billy Cummings is a euphonic musician.  Whether on stage or in the studio, the challenge to “play what’s right for the song” is what continues to develop his style and versatility as a musician.  The foundation of his playing style is jazz/swing & Caribbean rhythms.  Because of this foundation, it has allowed Billy to play other genres of music styles like gospel, house music, punk rock, country music, RnB & Hip Hop.

As a “hired gun” Billy has opened up for acts like Tito Puentes, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Johnathan Nelson & Harry Belafonte to name a few.  Billy is from Baltimore, MD. which is where his passion for drumming began.  From there, watching and listening to other drummers from all genres, which has allowed for many opportunities in the music industry.
